Dr. Shepheard earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1981.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 1977.  Dr. Shepheard completed her internship and residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in 1982 and 1984 respectively.  She has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 1984.

Dr. Shepheard is an Internal Medicine physician who has special interests in preventative medicine and women's health care issues.
